House and garden
You will find our child care at the main entrance of MTU Aero Engines AG.
a house
Our house has two floors, there is space for two groups of 17 children each. In order to get the greatest possible spatial benefit for our children, we consider all rooms, including the stairwell, to be multi-purpose rooms. You can play in the baby's bedroom just as you can in the manager's office or in the team room.
Garden
TurBienchen is lucky enough to have a very large and natural garden. A tall old stock of trees and wild bushes determine the first impression. Since we really appreciate being able to bring the children closer to nature in the middle of the city, we deliberately avoided too much play equipment.
Our children can climb trees and have a variety of experiences with water, sand, earth, plants and small animals.
In one area of the garden we created garden beds with the children. Flowers, herbs and vegetables are observed here as they grow, harvested and weeds pulled.
A tool shed with tools and building materials for the children completes our range of outdoor games, and the little ones can let off steam with a wide variety of vehicles.
opening hours
Our facility is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Current adjustments to the opening times can be found here here.
For organizational reasons, we only allocate childcare places for the whole week. In individual cases, there are exceptions in consultation with the board.
In order to enable group work with the children to be planned, we have set a core time of 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for all bookable times.
This means that the children can be brought no later than 8:30 a.m. and usually picked up at 12:30 p.m. at the earliest.
Since lunch is eaten at around 11:45 a.m., lunch for all children takes place during core time.
closing times
The Turbienchen usually closes at the following times:
-
on all bridging days
-
over Christmas until at least the New Year
-
in August for two weeks
We set the exact dates for the closing times together at the beginning of each kindergarten year in the TurBienchen calendar. You can get this calendar as a member in the members area, from the board members or from the kindergarten management.
Group structure/admission criteria
We are aiming for two mixed-age and mixed-gender groups of children aged six months to six years. To ensure non-profit status, at least 10% of the children must be unaffiliated with MTU. The allocation of free places is decided on the basis of selection criteria. Our procedure allows a transparent and always the same selection process (see Rules of Procedure).
